Norwood Scale AI is a free, AI-powered tool that helps users understand their hair loss patterns according to the Norwood Scale classification system.

- Instant Norwood Scale classification (Stages 1-7 and Type A variants)
- Educational information about hair loss progression
- Optional email delivery of results
Purpose: This Service is for educational and informational purposes only. It is NOT a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.
3. Open Source License
This project is open-source software licensed under the MIT License.
You are free to:
- Use the software for commercial purposes
- Modify and distribute the source code
- Use it for private projects
- Sublicense the software
Conditions:
- Include the original copyright notice and license
- The software is provided "as is" without warranty
4. User Eligibility
To use this Service, you must:

- Not upload photos of other people without their explicit consent
- Provide photos that fairly represent your current hair loss condition

You agree NOT to:

- ❌Upload illegal, infringing, or inappropriate content
- ❌Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
- ❌Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- ❌Abuse the Service through excessive requests or automated scraping
- ❌Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
5.3 Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain ownership of photos you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary license to process your photos solely for AI analysis.
Our Content: The website design, code, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. However, the code is available under the MIT License (see above).
6. Service Limitations
6.1 Availability
We do NOT guarantee:
- 100% uptime or uninterrupted access to the Service
- That the Service will be error-free or bug-free
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We are not liable for any disruptions.
6.2 Accuracy
AI Results are NOT Guaranteed:
- AI analysis is based on visual patterns and may not be 100% accurate
- Results depend on photo quality, lighting, angle, and other factors
- We rely on OpenAI technology, which we do not control
- Different photos may yield different results
6.3 Third-Party Dependencies
This Service depends on third-party providers:
- OpenAI: AI image analysis
- Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure
- Namecrane: Email delivery
Service disruptions or changes by these providers may affect functionality. We are not responsible for third-party service failures.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We specifically disclaim:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Any warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results
- Any warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Any warranties regarding third-party services (OpenAI, Vercel, Namecrane)
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any medical decisions or treatments based on AI results (see Medical Disclaimer)
- Loss of data, photos, or results due to technical failures
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Inaccurate or misleading AI results
- Third-party service failures (OpenAI, Vercel, Namecrane)
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Maximum Liability: Because this is a free service, our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed $0 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
9. Termination
By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. Clear your browser's sessionStorage to remove any locally stored results.
By Us: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Abuse or misuse the Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Pose a security or legal risk
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We are not liable for any consequences of termination.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution:

- Jurisdiction: Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be filed in the courts of Delaware, USA.
International Users: If you access this Service from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. If these Terms conflict with your local laws, the local laws shall prevail to the extent required.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Notification:

- The "Last Updated" date will be changed
- For major changes, we may provide 30 days advance notice
Your Acceptance: Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and NorMark.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
No Agency: No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created by these Terms.
